pleasant stay but room could be improved
The breakfast featured an exceptional fresh fruit salad that was deliciously ripe. The staff were not only friendly but also went out of their way to make everyone feel welcome.
The room lacked some finer details I expected.

Exceptional Hospitality and Delicious Dining
Our stay was absolutely wonderful! Stuart and his team made us feel incredibly welcome, going above and beyond to cater to our needs. The breakfast each morning was a delight, featuring fresh fruit salads and locally sourced items. The room was spacious and clean, with stunning views of the surrounding hills. The only minor improvement could be adding more seating options on the balcony for better outdoor enjoyment.

We had a lovely stay at a cozy family room. The kids loved the nearby Newburgh on Ythan Golf Club, and we enjoyed exploring the beautiful Aberdeenshire landscape. Perfect for a family getaway, and the staff was accommodating!
My kids wished there were more activities for their age group.

Couples seeking a warm retreat
First off, let me tell you, the owner was incredibly friendly. One evening, he personally stopped by our table and shared stories about the local area, which made us feel right at home. And the breakfast? Fresh fruit, tasty yogurt, and pastries that were simply delightful. We even had a big bowl of fruit waiting for us every morning, a nice touch that made us smile.
Now, it wasn’t exactly cheap, but honestly, the experience felt worth it.

Exceptional hospitality and delightful food
I just finished a wonderful stay that exceeded my expectations. The deluxe double room with a balcony offered stunning views, and the breakfast was a highlight with fresh fruits and local ingredients that made each morning special. Stuart's personal touch and storytelling really created a homely atmosphere, making me feel like part of the family. I would have preferred a few more options for eggs at breakfast.
